East Lansing Rotary’s programs for April 2012 are as follows:
April 2 – Rotarian Walt Sorg will be making a presentation about electric vehicles.
April 9 – Pat Lindemann will present an update on projects being undertaken by the Drain Commissioner’s Office.
April 16 – Harvey Schoof, co-author of “Answering the Central Question,” will present on the science of applied neuro-axiology and “how-to principles for integrating your heart, mind and brain to unleash your inner strengths and create a truly extraordinary life.”
April 23 – East Lansing City Manager and Rotarian George Lahanas will present on East Lansing’s budget challenges.
April 30 – Molly Day, Director of Marketing and Development at Ele’s Place, will present about service provided by Ele’s Place and their impact on our community.

March 5 – Mike Bills, President of MB Strategies, speaking on everyday leadership and how it plays a role in our lives.

March 12 – Tom Rico, Michigan Economic Development Corporation, speaking about the new Michigan Economic Gardening Project and its effect on the state and business.

March 19 – Randy Dean, President of Randall Dean Consulting and author of the book “Taming the Email Beast,” speaking about increasing productivity by controlling how we use email.

March 26 – Vocational Awards Presentation by Jim Bonfiglio and the Community Service Committee.

October 3 – Tom Anastos, head coach, MSU Hockey.
October 10 – Dean Sienko, Medical Director, Ingham County Health Department. He will be speaking on “The Ingham County Health Plan.”
October 17 – Suzy Merchant, head coach, MSU Women’s Basketball.
October 24 – Jim Proebstle, President of Prodyne Consulting. He specializes in management and strategic planning. Jim is a member of the Barrington, Illinois Rotary Club and is an author of two books. He also played football for MSU and was on the 1966 National Championship team. He will be talking about his Rotary experiences and his latest book Fatal Incident.
 
October 31 – Coach Dane Fife, the top assistant for MSU Men’s Basketball.

August 8: Laurie Robison, CATA’s new Director of Marketing, will be speaking about the First Fridays program. Rotary members can read more about this program at: http://www.lansingfirstfridays.com/.
August 15: Rory Neuner will be speaking about efforts to make Mid-Michigan more walkable and bikeable. Rory manages Transportation for Michigan, a statewide coalition working to give all Michiganders access to safe, affordable transportation.
August 22: Ingham County Treasurer Eric Schertzing will be speaking about the work of the Ingham County Land Bank. Rotary members can read more about the Land Bank at: http://www.inghamlandbank.org/.
August 29: East Lansing Library Director (and new Rotary Club of East Lansing member) Kristin Shelley will be talking about happenings and programs at the East Lansing Public Library.
